12 on 12-12-12

On the same day as the Offical release of Stone's Vertical Epic 12-12-12, I undertook the challenge set on me from Susie from here. On the specified day of the month, you take the amount of pictures equal to the date. In this case 12, on the hour every hour for 12 hours. This was a difficult task for me because I actually had a decent amount of work to accomplish today. Here is a sane look to a quasi sane person moonlighting as insane.

How Do You Fall? My First Trip to the Getty Part 1

The Getty Center is a brand spankin new (well like 7 or 8 years old) museum on the edge of the hills separating Los Angeles from the San Fernando Valley (aka Hell!). It was an expansion from the original Getty Center in Malibu. The new one is free, doesn't need a reservation, but you do have to shell out 15 bucks for parking. Its a well worth it trip the next time you make your way to Southern California.

This post's pictures were taken from the garden area. Its HUGE!! Well, the whole complex is pretty large. It felt like walking through one of those tilting marble mazes, except there weren't any holes for me to fall into. There was color in every direction. Its one of those places that really cannot be described with words. So here are my pictures. Chronologically from me walking down and then walking back up.

I think I'm going to go back in the spring to see all the spring time color.

How Do You Fall: Downtown LA

On November 11th, I took a day trip out to Downtown LA. As usual I took my preffered route of driving down to the Metro Green Line station in Norwalk, CA and transferring over to the Blue Line train. This trip was mostly dedicated to the 11-11-11 project, but I also had wanted to eat lunch in Little Tokyo.

The order of the pictures are the timeline of my walk across the dense metropolis. I got off the Blue Line station at Pico station, Cut down 11th Ave and then walked across on Broadway.

This is still probably my most favorite place to take pictures at and seem to find something new to shoot every time. Even walking in the same places I've shot before. I think I should bring my substandard point and shoot next time to switch it up.
