Little Devils

Alpine Village January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

I'm not sure what is the point of these guys but they look like they would make some interesting decorations. I wouldn't want to wake up to one of these guys on the table next to my bed though. Talk about Nightmares!!

Walking the Line

Shot with a roll of generic Fujifilm 100 ISO

Today's photo takes us into enemy territory. My cat Kyookii is walking on the edge of the neutral zone while taunting all of the enemy combatants (feral cats). My cat only would patrol the back yard and kept it pretty damn empty of the feral cats during the day. I remember one night leaving the door open and she saw a feral cat coming up close to the door and my cat zoomed off and chased the other one right outta there.

Around the Bend

San Gabriel River Trail, Azusa January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

These mountain roads are very fun to drive. Just watch your speed around the corners. There are a couple of interesting dams up here as well as the bridge to nowhere.

Thunder Rapids

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Disneyland 2011 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

This area is right underneath one of the big turns. Not too far from the beginning of the ride. This ride is rich in vista points. I'm going to be going back fairly soon so maybe I can showcase other areas.

Seeing Christmas After Christmas

Giant Christmas Tree in Downtown Disney, New Years Eve 2011 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

Probably the most bright and colorful time of the year at Disneyland.  I'm not too fond of the "Snow", but everything else is simply incredible.

A Nice Day in the Mountains

Weird Day At Thunder

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Disneyland 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

I have no clue why this shot came out all funky. The two on either side of this negative came out A-OK. I love these photos that don't come out as intended.

Don't Feed the Dangerous Animals

Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

My cat Kyooki (Pronounced: きょうき). I think she wanted me to give her a can of food instead of taking her picture.

Would You Ride That?

Knott's Berry Farm Parking Lot January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

And my answer is a solid "Hell no!" I'm too big a wuss to go that high and I can't take spinner rides. Unless you want to see me spew. I took this shot on my Highway 39 adventure. I was attempting to capture the essence of the Highway and this is one of the last few places to view that. The place I would rather have shot was the old drive in Highway 39 that both me and Billy had the pleasure of going to before that damn Walmart and Lowes were built there. Pardon me for being lazier than hell in regards to the dust spots.

Ready for Oktoberfest

Alpine Village January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

I might have shown this one before. This is my best friend getting ready for the celemebrations. I think he is ready.

In the Pit of Despair

Interesting pond at the Disneyland Hotel, New Years Eve 2011 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

If any of you remember, this waterfall, pond and cool makeshift geyser is on the spot of the old walkway with and behind the waterfalls. I used to love walking down there, but I guess it was too big of a liability with people being able to slip easy among other naughty activities that could quite possibly happen down there. Major bummage.

Look Out for the Bums

Barlett Park, January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 35-80mm f3.5-4.5,  Fujifilm Superia 400 (just a roll I picked up at Walmart)

This park was a bit on the creepy side. There were remnants of several homeless homes in the trees up there.

I See Phone Home

Tomorrowland, Disneyland  Fall 2011 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

You are looking at the former tracks and loading station to my favorite ride that is no longer, The People Mover. It's been gone for over 10 years and it's still a damn shame. Along with the Mission to Mars ride that became Pizza Port.

Does God's Size Matter to the Ladies?

Alpine Village in Torrance, January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

If you saw this church in person, then the answer is a most definite: Yes!

Figure it Out!

Alpine Village in Torrance, January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

Alpine Village is a cool little German Town/shopping center right off of the I-110 in Torrance, CA. Its the location of one of the largest Oktoberfest celemebrations in the US. One of my friends loves anything german and when I told him about this place, he jumped at the opportunity. Oddly enough, we couldn't find any calendars that were in German. I have never had a problem finding japanese ones so that was kinda wierd. Oktoberfest FTW!!!

Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, Disneyland  Fall 2011 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 50mm f1.8,  Fujicolor Superia 400

Damn queue went on FOREVER! I miss the old version. :'-( , though the new one has 54 possible versions!

Let's go ......... Right!

The end of Beach Blvd in Orange County, January 2012 - Shot with Canon Rebel XT, Canon 35-80mm f3.5-4.5,  Fujifilm Superia 400 (just a roll I picked up at Walmart)

I had read that Highway 39 went up into the mountains but had never seen it, at least in my current memories.. I drove all the way from the start of the highway, Beach Blvd and Pacific Coast Highway, which begins at Huntington Beach city beach and ends near Crystal Lake in the San Gabriel Mountains. A very scenic trip.

To follow highway 39 to the mountains, you must turn right at the intersection above Until you reach Harbor Blvd/Fullerton Rd. Then turn left and merge onto the 60 West going towards Los Angeles. Then get off at Azusa and turn right and follow the road up the rest of the way
