Fractured Tree or Fractured Existence?

Sorry for the delay this week. I was on a travelling delay. I have a boatload of shots I took on my travels that I'll be showing pretty soon. Hope you all are having a good week thus far.

Tom

Walt Disney Concert Hall, Garden on the back of the concert hall - Shot with Canon 10D, Canon 50mm f1.8, ISO 400,1/1250 @ f9

I shot this on my last visit to the concert hall after I ditched a convention because it was a real snoozer. There was a couple getting their wedding pictures done here. Was very interesting to watch for the few minutes that I did.

I always go back to the same places to see if I can find anything new or creative to shoot. If you think you have nothing to shoot or you live in a boring area, I'll tell you that you're wrong. I keep going back to places like this because it forces me to think out of the box and to push myself to see something I might have missed before. Pushing the limits in these ways flourish creativity.

Orange County Fair

Everybody probably  knows by now, but if you don't I live in Orange County, CA. As a matter of fact, just a 2 minute drive down the freeway from Disneyland. If you live anywhere in the US, you've probably  come across the county fair. Since I don't live in the midwest or in some rural area, it is not as big of a deal, but it sure is still a fun place to come to every once in awhile.

Here in Orange County, ours starts in the middle of July and ends in the middle of August, followed by the Los Angeles County Fair that runs in September at Fairplex in Pomona. I think my last time here at the fair was in the early 2000s when I came with one of my parents. I wasn't really sure what to expect even though I had an idea of what it was like. My best friend and I met up with some of his acquaintances and had a couple of drinks before I took off on my own for a photo shooting spree.

I've been lacking on adding my pictures to the map so you might have an idea of where I went. I fixed this for next weeks set of pictures.

Las Vegas Part 2

For Part One, Click Here.

This is part two of my short trip to Las Vegas from a few weeks ago.I have an easy time trying to figure out what I can do there when I am still home, but when I get there it all goes right out the window. Most of these shots were from the 3rd day of hotel looking over by Caesar's Palace. Mostly of the Belagio and the newish hotel/city Aria. There are a couple from downtown, Excalibur and Planet Hollywood thrown in there too. Hopefully I can go back soon when I don't need to throw on copious amounts of sunscreen to survive outside.

I just remembered the other day that I do have a part 3, which is mainly Downtown and some of the old nostalgic signage from the old advertisements and hotels. I think I shall drop that one around Sunday. Also, check out my other pictures on Smugmug here. And please leave me your thoughts in the comments section below. Even if you think my pictures suck. I need some learning to do and that is the easiest way for me to get some improvement. Thanks for dropping by.

Las Vegas Part 1

A few weeks back, I drove up to Las Vegas to attend the tv taping for one of my top interests ever, Monday Night Raw. This trip was quite different than my last visit in 2011 where my camera broke almost before I had a chance to use it. These pictures don't follow a specific order, they were just pulled from the pool at random. I have a second half because going from 150 images down to just 20 is really hard. It was hard enough to get it down to 38. Part 2 will drop on Tuesday or Wednesday.
