Let's Get the Mayor In Here

Noble Ale Works 2 year Anniversary, Feb 2013 - Shot with Canon 10D, Canon 50mm f1.8, ISO 400,1/100 @ f 2.5

This was a really fun event at one of the two, and current favorite, local breweries. They had four cask style beers that day. The brewery is located across the street from Angel Stadium, So, they try to get the mayor of Anaheim down to support a great company. This is the Mayor about to tap the fourth and final cask of the day. It was a wonderful black IPA. If you are in the area, they have great beer and awesome service from all of the servers, the brewmaster and the owner.

Way cool! I will have to tell my sister to stop by here, she is an Angels fan. So the next time she catches a game she should try this place out.
My recent post I miss my herp!

Oh for sure, This place is on its way up!
Catching up with your work... nice. You've probably already mentioned this somewhere - and if you have I've already forgotten - the reason why so many of your shots are not of people. What I like about this photo is that it doesn't appear to be just about the person who is in it ('get the mayor in there'). Although his political title makes him somewhat of a celebrity (I wouldn't have know who he is if you hadn't mentioned it), the guy looks like he's pleased to be holding that keg mallet. And that's good enough for me.

I mostly stay away from people because I'm a very candid person and I have a difficult time directing traffic or being able to express how I want somebody to look. So instead I take pictures of everything else. I guess in a sense, it's a control issue and I have little control over other people, but when I take a building shot or one of my mission shots, I have complete control on what's in the picture, how its setup and the all around mood of the setting. It gives me a sense of power and control that I wouldn't normally have in my life.

I think you wrapped up his emotions very well. I think he looks pleased because he knows he's apart of something important not only for him but for the people that elected him. A wonderful business in such an anti business climate. Well... At least that's my take. Thanks for commenting, bro.
