On the Steps of the World

At the top of Bunker Hill overlooking LA Public Library, May 2013 - Shot with Canon 10D, Canon 50mm f1.8, ISO 400,1/1250 @ f 10

A couple weeks back, I went to a photography convention at the convention center in LA. I ended up leaving it because it was a snoozer and there wasn't anything there that interested me. So I walked down Figueroa until I got to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and then went down Grand before cutting over to Hope st until it ended here at the steps of Bunker Hill. This shot was a stitched shot/pano shot that was made from a total of 29 shots. Thanks go out to Susie for giving me the idea to do stitched shots.

Oh nice!
Sweet skate spot too! Doesn't appear to be knobbed, is security tight around there?

No chance board sliding down this great stairway. You'd prolly get picked up in about 10 minutes. But I'll watch ya if you wanna try :-)

This is next to the tallest tower in LA which is behind the tree on the left. Very beautiful and immaculate.
Nice. I can't get over how you seem to be able to get such good pictures of places sans population. The green looks nice and the little bit of orange that the birds of paradise (or kanna?) give makes me wonder if there aren't equally bright koy somewhere in the water.

Well.. The sans people that day was because there weren't any. It was on a Sunday. I think I narrowly missed some homeless people in front of the library, though. I wish there were bright koi over there, I love looking at their brilliant colors.
I'd sit on those steps and slowly sip a coffee... nice scene.

It's most definitely an amazing view I could enjoy on a daily basis if I lived/worked in the area.
That's a fun-looking place!
