Pictures from the Toy Camera Shoot

Here, as promised are my shots from a few weeks ago with my Holga, that I mentioned in This post. I have a couple other sets of pictures that I'm going to have at the bottom. One is from my shoot in May or June of this year, that I made with my Lubitel 2 and the last two I made with my Yashica Mat EM back around March or April.

Let me know what you think in the comments section below. Thanks!

The water in the lubitel shots looks awesome, really crisp looking.
Try some up close shots with your fisheye lens, those make for some neat distorted images.
I also use the Line Camera app for the iphone, I can apply a lens effect with the app. So you can try out different subjects with different effects to see what works good before committing to film if you want.

I've just been trying to diversify myself with different technologies recently. This week just happened to be film. I should do a shoot entirely on my 5mp point and shoot or with the 3mp camera on my phone. Sounds like a good plan. I will check out the line camera app, if they have an android version. It sounds like its as good of an app as instagram minus facebook. Thanks for the good recomendations as usual Susie! :-)
Wow!!!
That Roxy pic is awesome!!

The pic 2 below your self shadow pic is nice. Little post fence shadow in the fore. Looks cool.

Roxy is #1 though
That Roxy picture was a fun one to take. I was very nervous when I was taking it because there was a long line of people waiting to get in at that moment, and they were staring at me. It was one of the first pictures in front of a shitload of people and doing my best to not care about how dumb I looked. That camera is slightly broken too!

the other picture, that was a cool spot I've walked and ridden my bike past several times. I saw a ton of bunnies out there. Oh, I actually have another set from that park with the bunnies, I just haven't looked at them yet.

Thanks for the kind words as always, Chris! :-)
There's one pic of parked boats that looks like the beginning of an episode of Gilligan's Island from the first season...

Oddly enough, I was on a 3 hour tour.
The Holga ones really do look old timey~

I'm interested to see how the colour ones turn out. Any plans?

I have some subjects in mind, the only issue is time. I might have to shoot many rolls because I might have to buy the chemicals and process the film myself. It'll be a real adventure!
The water shots were especially nice. They seemed a lot sharper than the land shots and didn't really have any vanishing points, which looks like you were doing with the round filter. I kept expecting to see Buster Keaton in those 'older' shots.

Good stuff.

Those water shots are most definitely the best film shots I've taken to this date. They were really fun to take since it was outta my element and the first time shooting while on the move. By all means, If only I were to get a picture of Buster Keaton, that' would be a once in a "lifetime" opportunity.

Thanks for your complements Will, very much appreciated, sir.
I swear, some of these shots look like my neck of the woods..especially the large electric wire support structures.

The big electricity towers really remind me of the wilderness and the drive to vegas. Thankfully these ones don't ruin the landscape.
