11 on 11

A couple weeks ago I was given the idea to shoot eleven pictures on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. I've never shot a project with parameters as strict as that. So, Here are my results. I have to be a bit honest, I went back to some places that I'd shot at before and at least one was from a similar angle. But I shot all in color this time and all of them were shot with my 5 megapixel cell phone camera. Enjoy!

In Case anybody  was wondering, the images are in a specific order. Its basically the start of my trip from the Norwalk Metro Green Line Station and ends in Little Tokyo in Downtown LA. I actually walked right down the middle, down Broadway. I've been wanting to eat down there for the last few months and I've just been so darn busy.

Let me know what you guys think!

Did you use some kind of software to manipulate the pictures after you took them?
Also what kinda phone do you have, it takes some pretty decent pics.

Yeah, I might have cheated a bit. I use lightroom to edit my pictures. It also will upload them to smugmug directly for me. I added them to my library and altered the contrast a bit, but they don't really look much different than when they were on the phone.

I have an HTC One V. I was taking some decent pictures with my old LG Optimus V, but 5 megapixels over 3 is better on any day. I have some excellent night shots that I took with the optimus back in June that were simply incredible. but I think if you saw them bigger than 5x7 they would look like garbage. I wish I had an Iphone, I would probably get even clearer pictures on there.
Ah very nice. I didn't doctor mine at all....but then again I was working on my post using my teeny netbook. Though I love the portability of it, it's not the easiest to use for anything other than writing or interwebz.

I am about to swap my Samsung back for an iPhone.... this phone keeps dropping calls, won't disable the touch screen when I am talking on the phone so I lose calls or push buttons. Not to mention it's on froyo and I can't install a new OS on it. :( First world problems, I know.

Thanks for convincing me not to get a netbook. I was thinking about getting one just to have a dedicated linux box. hmmm..... maybe that would still be a good idea.

My old Optimus V phone had the old OS on it too, except mine would take forever to connect to the 3g. I use google voice for all my text messaging and I had a girlfriend at the time, so not connecting to the internet is a big issue. And the battery life really sucked too. If only the dynamic backgrounds didn't suck up sooooooooo much battery. Who knows, next year may be the year where I shell out for an Iphone.
My netbook is a beast, I have had it for 5 years and I love it for traveling. It is small enough to fit in a small backpack or a large purse. The battery life is decent and it allows me to blog on the go. Game playing on it is pretty meh because it is so small. If you want a linux box I am sure you can find a rad little netbook you can use. Word or warning, stay away from HP. I have noticed several of their little netbooks reloading the OS is a nightmare. You gotta slipstream drivers on your OS disk and it's all around shitty. I have an Eee PC and I am really happy with it. Like I said though I don't really like to use it for working on projects mostly because the screen is so small and multitasking in different programs is pretty much not gonna happen because it is so small. I say test drive one and see how it works for you.
