Pasadena in the Fall

This weeks post is a short one. I think I only took my film camera on this trip, so I don't have much to work with. But the lack of photos doesn't mean I wasn't able to find interesting places to take pictures of.

Several months ago, I visited the town of Pasadena. Its right on the skirts of the San Fernando Valley and the San Gabriel Valley. The downtown area, where I was this trip, has a great old town vibe. With a city hall that looks rivals most state capitals, a huge park(that has a summertime theater), and a couple of great gastropubs and bars, including Congregation Ale House, Haven and a Stone company store, there is something to do for everybody.

If you are coming from Downtown LA, you can easily hop onto the Metro Gold Line. Then you can sit and relax instead of sitting in the traffic. By freeway, it's directly off of the 210 and the 134 freeways. Pretty convenient.

Okay explain 4, what is it? Also 5 looks like a nice spot I would take to snack and pet my dogs, if where that little spot is dog friendly of course. Also the last image has me perplexed... where is the rest of the library?

During my move I found 2-3 black and white photos I took when I was about 16 or 17. I will get them scanned so you can see how craptastic they are.
My recent post I am thankful...

Number 4 was a tower that was on one of the platforms for the Metro station. I think that station had a mechanical clock kinda theme. Part of the platform is on the side of a building which you can in Number 7, which was the walkway underneath to get to the other adjacent street.

The library in the last picture was the first library of Pasadena and it burned down :-( . Unfortunately that was all that was left. But it looks cool though!

I can't wait to see your pictures. It's always interesting to see what you thought was fun to take pictures of back then.
Nice BandWs! I really dig those cool coin-looking things on the one building~
