Disneyland at Dusk

Welcome back for Part 2 from my trip to Disneyland a few weeks back. Part one of my trip can be viewed here. I didn't really have too much time, so I wasn't able to get the whole western half of the park like the Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Adventure Land or Frontier Land, but I was able to get some of the great sights of Main Street USA, and parts of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

Unfortunatley, these pictures don't do the place any justice, but they will jog your memory and bring back thoughts from the good ol days. They do that for me at least. Enjoy!

That Goofy statue pic is the best!

I haven't been to Disneyland in 15 years... these pics certainly did bring back a few memories.

That was a throwback to a dude I took a class who took a picture of that same statue in almost the same position.

Disneyland has changed BIG time in the last 15 years. You might not recognize it if you saw it.
Definitely jogged the memory. Like how the lights start to glow as night falls. Neon and argon... love the stuff.

Thats probably one of my favorite parts of the place. Those fluorescent lights are mesmerizing. I Neon, Xenon and Hydrogen. The spectroscopes in chemistry was the fun day.
Loved the Chip and Dale statue! How were you able to get such clear shots of neon lights? I can never do it, then again I guess if I tried and was more patient I probably could.

Those were all taken with my DSLR, if you have ISO controls on your camera I would think you would be able to do it. If not, turn off the flash, and hold real steady. If you have something to prop it up with like a rail or tripod it should be fairly easy. I also have steady hands. Patience is the key. Just slow down, as if you were playing golf or watching paint dry.
Thanks for the tips. I can control the iso settings so I will make it a point to monkey around with that.

I just saw a Nikon point and shoot that had them and thought it was pretty cool. some level of control is better than none. It might give you a more pixelated image if you use a higher ISO, I would reccomend 1600 at the highest, but experimentation is what its all about and whether it looks like what you want.
That Goofy statue is like the Thinker, lol.

That would be really funny if that was the model for the pose.
