Old Town Garden Grove

Sorry for being a day late. I was being really lazy yesterday.

This weeks adventures took me to Old Town Garden Grove. It was a nice, short 15 minute bus drive down the street from where I live. While Southern California has many cities, some seem to have better downtown districts than others. It might be that some of these cities like Anaheim, Fullerton, and Santa Ana have literally been in existence since the 1800s. Garden Grove was nowhere near as spectacular as Santa Ana or Fullerton, but you have to make do with what you have. Lucky for me, I am an expert at making do with what I have.

You can view where these photos were shot Here

I hope you enjoy.

Nice. The city where I grew up and went to high school. Some of it still looks the same...

Other than the 22 freeway getting an extra lane and some of the bigger streets doing the same, I don't think the city has changed at all. I wish that Black Angus was still open, I want a good steak.
You do well with throwing shadows. Wonder if you realize that? Some of the best pics seem to have that element.

That actually came up the other day when I was talking to a coworker of mine. I was showing her some flower photos I took last Thursday in Newport Beach and commented on the great shadows. Most of the time I don't even notice it when I'm walking around, but I do when I start editing them I notice it. I can kind of see it more when I shoot film than when I shoot digital as odd as that sounds.

Thanks for the shout Chris. :-)
I really liked the animal pictures. The action shot of the duck is pretty neat.

I tried getting a side shot of it but it said no and that was him running away from me. I was very surprised to see all the animals since that was at the entrance to the city hall.

Thanks. :-)
That's a spectacular place to visit.
