Venice, The Menace Part 1

I took many photos on this shoot so I split em up into separate groups. Once again, My thanks go out to Susie with all the bad ass ideas.

Here is a general map of where the photos were taken for this set. I'll probably run the next set on Friday so stay tuned for that.

And you can check out my older slideshow photos here

Colors look really amazing on these. Like the graffiti theme.

that was one of my main goals on this trip. I usually let the colors come to me when I'm out walking around, but I went looking for the colors. once you hit LA, you can find some really creative and colorful pieces. Sometimes they are displayed in weird locations too. There was a shot I didn't include that had graffiti on the side of tip of an unfinished freeway overpass.

Venice is the best and easiest place to find it since they have a system in place for legal graffiti and a set amount of display time.
The shot before the train cars has me confused. Is it a river with rushing water or did you zoom in real close to a tiny creek run off? Hard to tell for me :p

^_^ I was trying to figure out what you were talking about and realized it musta been a previous comment that intense debate autofilled in there. I hate when that happens.
Wow that was an old one!

I actually was commenting about how much I really enjoy the B&W mural shot at the end of the set. I think making it B&W was a wise choice. Also the colors are so vibrant, really good set man. Keep it up!
That mural was very interesting. I think I am having an easier time figuring out which ones look better in black and white or in color.

Thanks for the complements. I think the next set looks much better. :-)
The colors on the "Happy Fathers Day" are awesome!! That tagger got talent ;)

That one had to of been my 2nd favorite of the day mostly because of the bright colors. Its so neat and clean too. Its a real shame that its prolly covered up by now.
Charlie Temmel's got the ice cream cone of my dreams~
Ooh! That blue ape is rad!

I like the post title, btw. X)

That blue ape really was cool! I was trying to get a full shot of it, but the one I posted looked the best. Its on google maps if you search for brooks avenue and Pacific avenue in venice.

I didnt look to see if those ice creams were life size or not, but I think everybody would dream of ones that big.
