Yorba Regional Park

Dang, its been over a month since I took these pictures. I shot these on the same day I took the toy camera out for a test run Here. This one wasn't as great as some of my other recent adventures, but there were many cool looking bunnies and they are pretty much the highlight for this post.

I'm almost starting to run out of regional parks, or I'm going to have to start driving farther to get to some new ones. Let me know what you guys think.

First off, I have to really give you credit for having a good eye for photography. I had a hell of a time in Sac! :< I guess practice makes perfect though. I will have to try and sneak a photo of the black bunny that adopted my in-laws. He just appeared one day and decided to stay in their back yard. They feed it and last time I went over there my husband was able to get close enough to pet it. I like bunnies.

Its getting alot easier to find good shots, but what I struggle with is focusing. But that isn't a new issue with me. I had at least 20 bad pictures from this shoot. not to mention others where I take about 150 pictures and weed them down to about 30-40.

I love bunnies. I almost got one instead of my cat. I hope you can get close enough to take a shot at..... err I mean of it. Yeah... Thats what I'm going with ;-)

How was your trip? Did you get alot of pictures while you were there?
My trip was okay. I lost my iPhone but I think I jinxed myself. I kept wishing for it to break because I hate it and it ended up losing itself from me. :p I was able to get a few shots. I posted some today, I will try to get some more posted up later this week. I tried out depth of field, night shots and some macro shots.
I did the same thing myself. I just "accidentally" dropped my phone a few times.

Depth of field was a very difficult subject for me to grasp. I finally understood it when I started shooting the larger format cameras when I started having more control over the camera. I still forget it from time to time, but it can make or break the picture. Oo, I'm going to go take a look at them right now.
That nuts and bolts shot is really cool.

Why don't you get down to the Orange County coastal area, say between Corona Del Mar and Dana Point? The tide pools there would make for some nice shooting I bet.

Dang, you really have me dialed in! The tide pools down by Corona Del Mar are on my list of places to go. I'm probably going to head down there next weekend. The trip to San Pedro from a few weeks back was meant to go to the tide pools down there, but then I got side tracked at the temple and forgot about them. On a different note, I went to the Fullerton Arboretum last week and might have gotten some great butterfly shots. The damn things were toying with me by flying really close when my camera wasn't ready and right when I'd pull it up for the shot, they would fly away. What jerks!

Thanks for all the recommendations! Much appreciated. :-)
